I downloaded the new Developer Tools package from Apple last night so that I could take a look at AppleScript Studio, and although I am admittedly not a programmer, I can sure see a lot of potential for developing custom applications that tie in AppleScript with these tools. Maybe this will be the inspiration I need to create something myself!

Dave announced late last week that Radio 7.1 will run natively under OS X and that it should ship shortly after the holiday season. This is great news! I have been hand-coding Mac Net Journal every day since June, and I may make the switch back to Radio when the OS X version hits the Net. Yes, it will cost me something, but Dave says he plans to price the first for-pay version of Radio at less than $100, and that is good enough for me. Now I will just have to figure out how to integrate the things that I do now in Mac Net Journal into the architecture of Radio - an architecture that I found too limiting to use earlier this year...[posted at 11:44 a.m. PDT] -- The final version of PowerMail 3.1 is available now from the program's creators, CTM Development. This version solidifies changes in both the OS X and Classic versions of the alternative e-mail application that sells for $50.
