Why so few posts on MNJ this month? Earlier this month I ran my first-ever marathon. My goal - simply complete the run, preferably in less than four hours. And so, when I ran the Portland Marathon in 3 hours and 40 minutes, I was more than thrilled. How does this connect to MNJ? Well, it is amazing how much time it takes to train to run a marathon. Now I am trying to turn around and run the Seattle Marathon at the end of November, with eight weeks of turnaround from one marathon to the next. Needless to say, it's been a busy time, and thankfully I am in the best shape of my life! MNJ should be reviving a bit in the coming months. For the small number of you still reading, thank you.
Contemplating upgrades to my aging MacBook Pro As much as I would like to be able to afford a new MacBook Pro today, I have other things ahead of a new computer in the new purchase lineup. And so, what better way to address the serious shortage of storage space on my notebook than by replacing the hard drive? I'm looking at jumping from a 100 GB drive to a 300 GB drive, all for less than $200. That sure beats the cost of a new machine! |
