A long life laptop power option
Macintouch notes an interesting new power solution for laptop users who need a long-lasting portable power source. The N-Charge Power System by Valence can power cell phones and laptops, and adapters are available for the PowerBook G4, PowerBook G3, iBook, and PowerBook 3400. A model with a 10-hour laptop run time is priced at $299, while a 5-hour model is $149. This may be a reliable option for either long-running power backup or for those who need a simple way to compute while off the grid. The weight costs of these battery packs are around 1.35 kg. The battery is a slim design and made to be easy to carry in a laptop bag.
