A rush of software updates
Here are a few of the new software releases that highlight better compatibility with OS X 10.2:
Launch Items X v1.1.8 - This program allows you to control-click on the screen to open a dialogue box that can launch programs, Web pages, folders, or files.
Page Sender 2.0 - A utility that allows you to send and receive faxes as well as print to PDF document formats under OS X.
DigiChat v 4.0 - A redesigned interface and new functions like real-time language translation are part of this new version of the Java-based chat server.
SmartWrap 2.2.2 - The newest version of this text analysis and tweaking tool installs in a new folder and it has a few new enhancements.
AOL Instant Messenger X 4.5.794 - No details on this update as far as new features yet, but presumably this will make the chat client work better under Jaguar, where early adopters have noted instability problems.
ICQ X 3.1a47 - New version adds file transfer and chat with PC versions that didn't previouslyu work. It also offer a log file of previous conversations.
Expect more of this as the week winds down. As I have said before, we are in for an interesting next few weeks in Mac OS X land...
