It's hard drive upgrade day
Updates to Mac Net Journal will be limited for a couple of hours today when I receive the 40GB hard drive I expect to be delivered today. It will be time to do one last backup of my user folder to a FireWire hard drive and then to remove the old drive, slip in the new drive, install OS X 10.2.1 and move my backed up user folder onto the new disk. It's a pretty simple process...

Update: The upgrade went fine and I cannot believe how much quieter this hard drive is! I hear little to no HD noise at all now. We will see how that holds up. Meanwhile, it took about a hour to get everything moved from the old drive to the new and to have me back up and running. 8:08:33 AM comment
