A rare bird indeed
I didn't post much tonight because Natalie and I drove a few miles north of here this afternoon to try and find a rare bird for Washington state, a Great Tailed Grackle, that has been hanging out in of all places the parking lots at the SuperMall in Auburn, Wash. We found the bird whose species has only been seen a couple of other times in this state until this most recent sighting, sitting in a maple tree in the parking lot outside the Nordstrom Rack store. This is a bird that normally doesn't come any further north than southern Oregon, and so this was a great opportunity to see a rare bird indeed.
Seeing this bird brings the total to 261 species of birds that we have seen in Washington state so far this year. We have also investigated 85 or so sites for our Birding Washington book and driven more than 14,000 miles in doing the research...

URL Manager Pro 3.0.1
Alco Bloom has updated his bookmark manager program URL Manager Pro today to offer improvements under OS X such as support to Chimera, support for OS X services, and a number of bug fixes. The program remains $25 shareware and one of the better ways to store bookmarks for use across multiple Web browsers.
Now I wonder if it will accept my registration code, since previous versions have not been accepting the code even though, when I put it in, it initially says I am paid in full...
