LCD screen flicker: How worried should I be?
My Pismo PowerBook is starting to show problems with its LCD - an intermittent flicker or dimming and then brightening of the screen while I am working. It happens whether I have the screen set to millions of colors or to thousands of colors, and I have not tried to hook the machine to a CRT monitor yet to see if it looks like the problem is the video card or the LCD itself.
I don't look forward to dealing with this, since I don't have another relatively speedy machine to back this up and even though I have AppleCare coverage that will likely cover this problem, I cannot imagine going without the machine for a week or so...
