Creator of Pepper text editor calls it quits
Maarten Hekkelman, the creator of the Pepper text editor that was one of the initial hits of Mac OS X, has decided to stop selling his software and stop any further development of the program. He states the following on his Web site:
End of story
I'm no longer taking orders for my software.
Thanks to all who supported me and my software over the last years. I had a great time, esp. in the beginning. However, recent changes in the various OS's and several not so nice experiences with less than honest 'clients' combined with negative feedback on my software have forced me to stop.
-Maarten Hekkelman
Thanks to MNJ reader Brian Caldwell for letting me know about this development...
