NetNewsWire Lite just keeps getting better
Groups. The next beta of NetNewsWire Lite (probably a few days away) will support a new feature: groups.
You’ll be able to organize your feeds via drag-and-drop. When you select a group, then all the unread items in all the feeds in that group are displayed. This way you can have multiple aggregate views.

Utllity for installing OS X on unsupported machines

Apple Disc Recording Update 1.3.5
Apple released a 1MB update to the disc burning software under OS X 10.1.5. The download, which can be found by going to the Software Update panel in System Preferences and running the update software, offers the following notes:
The Disc Recording Update delivers additional iTunes and Finder support for a number of LaCie, EZquest, and Iomega CD-R devices. For a specific list of supported devices, visit the Apple CD-R Compatibility site at www.apple.com/itunes/notes.html.
The update does require a restart after installing...

Remind me why I haven't upgrade before now...
The installation of 1GB of RAM in my Pismo PowerBook went fine and the machine does indeed feel more snappy with all of that RAM rather than relying on the hard drive for RAM intensive programs and operations. I won't bore anyone with the details, but at a cost of less than $200 including the shipping, this purchase from MemoryToGo.com is a bargain...

Slow getting started this morning
A long, slow backup process and preparing my PowerBook for its new RAM that will hopefully arrive this morning is eating up much of my normal time to update MNJ so far today. I will catch up soon!
