Ack! The reason for so few updates today
I just finished spending six hours writing up a single earnings call for a company on the East Coast, so I have been out of touch with Mac happenings and even my email during that time. My hands and arms say ouch...

Snapz Pro X 1.0.6 (Updated 8/6/02) - ($29 for screen capture only, $49 for a version with QuickTime recording) Updated to support QuickTime 6 and the upcoming release of Jaguar (OS X 10.2), this industrial-strength screen capture utility is much more flexible than the Grab utility that is part of OS X. Save screen shots as .bmp, .png, .tiff, .pdf, Photoshop files and more, or even save a recording in QuickTime. This is a must-have if you need to create documentation for a program and grab screen shots not possible otherwise under OS X.
I am gradually adding utilities like this to my ongoing list of Mac OS X applications ranked by category. Ricochet coming to a city near you?
Ricochet set to bounce back. After a brief appearance after the Sept. 11 attacks, the high-speed wireless service will soon get back to business in a number of cities. [CNET News.com]
What I wonder is whether Ricochet is an idea behind the times now that 802.11 wireless networks are providing the same kinds of connectivity for lower cost?
