Mozilla 1.1b feels faster
So far, Mozilla 1.1b, the new beta version released recently, feels much faster than previous builds of the open source Web browser. I am not seeing specific improvements after limited testing, but I can offer that entering longer posts in the Comment field in a Radio Weblog site works better under this build than in previous versions under OS X where writing anything longer than 5-6 lines would scroll out of the posting window, so you could no longer see what you were typing.
So far, so good...

Reflecting on a weekend trip near Mt. Adams
Here is a belated photo that is one of my favorites from the bird book research that Natalie and I did last weekend. We went back to Eastern Washington and down along the Columbia River Gorge, then north to the area around Mt. Adams, which is one of the five major active volcanoes in Washington state. The shot of Mt. Adams was taken at the end of the dirt road overlooking a great marsh area that we plan to include in Birding Washington.
The photo and updates to Mac Net Journal are slow to be posted this week due to an unusually heavy workload on my plate. I should be loaded down with work this week and probably again next week...

Microsoft yanks Entourage sync conduits
TidBITS notes that the Palm sync conduits for Entourage X that were released last week have since been uncerimoniously yanked offline by Microsoft, with no word as to the reason. Sure enough...in checking the Mactopia section of Microsoft's site, there is no longer any mention of the sync conduits for Entourage. Back to the drawing board...
