What a fitting end for the All-Star game
How could an all-star game better fit in a Major League Baseball season where it looks like the game is dying a slow death with the near certainty of a player strike before the end of the season? The fans may have been chanting, "Let them play!" as an ill-advised way to get the tied All-Star Game resolved with a 12th inning, but when I heard the chants I immediately thought about the rest of the season that may be lost to a labor dispute between overpaid players and nitwitted Major League Baseball owners who have been scrambling over themselves to make sure those players are overpaid.

Let them play...indeed. 10:02:53 PM comment

And another good point
Andrew Orlowski: "Apple's wealthiest and most prominent celebrity cheerleaders have yet to break their silence on the company's culling of its grassroots publishers." [Scripting News]

The reason that cheerleaders don't talk is easy...they are too cozy with the Mother Ship at Apple. 8:16:30 PM comment

Chronos updates Personal and Group Organizer
Chronos updated Personal Organizer and Group Organizer to version 4.5 today. The free upgrade for license holders of a 4.x version of the program adds better Palm sync, a new OS X dialer and better export capabilities in the contacts area. The Group Organizer also adds a Cocoa-based multi-threaded server.

Be patient trying to grab these updates though...I am having a tough time reaching the FTP servers. 10:47:12 AM comment
