A useful AppleScript news site
I am adding a link to the Weblog AppleScript Info to the Resources section of Mac Net Journal. The Radio-based page, which I just subscribed to, is written by an AppleScript enthusiast by the name of Rob J., and today's posts are just a sample of the useful items on the site:
- A link to a Palm Desktop 4 script that fixes an error some users have encountered with the final version of the program
- And a link to BlogApp v1.2, an OS X application for posting to Weblog sites
It's also cool that AppleScript Info links to Mac Net Journal! Right back at ya!

OsOpinion: Research in Motion continues to hold a commanding lead when it comes to e-mail access on
handheld devices. However, other companies that are big names in the wireless world are
working overtime to shake up the status quo. "The biggest advantage for Palm and Treo is
that they have got more software available," Gartner analyst Ken Dulaney told Wireless NewsFactor. [osOpinion]

MacSlash readers talk about the holy grail - Connecting Address Book and Palm
MacSlash readers are in the midst of discussing ways to move contact information between Apple's Address Book application and Palm Desktop?
In the middle of the discussion one reader brought up the interesting idea of trying to get Palm to work with the centralized Address Book database, rather than duplicating contact information across multiple programs. As far as I can see, there is no way to do this right now, and I am not sure if it is Palm or Apple who is at fault in the situation. It's a shame though. I still think that the holy grail will be a centralized database, probably open source, that would offer a common storage format and access protocol for information so that it doesn't need to be duplicated all over my hard drive...
