I didn't try rebooting and then testing my MCE DataShuttle, but at first glance I cannot confirm that the shuttle with a PC-Card interface now mounts under OS X 10.1.3. I would love to hear if others have different results...

I will try to confirm this news when I get home here in a bit, but I found this note interesting from an OS X mailing list:
I've had 10.1.3 running on my machine since yesterday morning, and I've had no problems whatsoever. So today I thought I'd try once again to see if this upgrade would enable my DataShuttle once again (as I've done with every update since X's launch).
I'm happy to report that my DataShuttle works. I haven't tried
installing MacOS X on it and booting from it, but at least it mounts!
This is indeed interesting news for PowerBook users who still own DataShuttles with the old PC Card interface. It looks like that will become a new travel companion with me again!

Not Built Here - Apple Says 'So What?'. The tendency of companies to reject any technologies not developed within the confines of
the corporate campus has been called the "Not Built Here" syndrome. In the past, Apple
was plagued by this affliction, but the illness seems to have vanished completely from
One Infinite Loop. [osOpinion]
